Kiddopotamus Snuzzler Complete Head and Body Support, Ivory Terry

Product Description

Product Description
The award-winning Snuzzler provides the ideal support for baby's back and head, adjusting upward as baby grows. Keeps baby perfectly supported and comfortable in any seat, and in any season! The soft terry cloth material provides comfort to baby all year long, and is perfect for warmer climates. The unique contours work easily with all harness straps, including 3 and 5 point harness systems. The Snuzzler transfers with ease between all infant seats to provide support in car seats, strollers, jogging stroller and swings. No need to thread straps! To stabilize wobbly newborn heads, the lower portion of the head support overlap the body support cushions. The head support adjusts upward as baby grows and it can detach from the body support to be used on its own. With padding only on the sides, not behind baby, the Snuzzler does not interfere with the safety of car seat harnesses. Crash tested for safety and Machine washable for easy care.

Amazon.com Review

Parents may want to give their infants the Snuzzler for the luxurious comfort factor alone. But what will really make them happy is the fact that the award-winning Snuzzler provides gentle support for baby’s vulnerable head, neck, and back, keeping her stable and comfy in the car seat, stroller, swing, bike trailer, backpack, and bouncy seat. The plush terrycloth is reversible to smooth, woven fabric, so baby can sit in comfort and style any time of the year. The soft support cushions fit all harness systems, with no need to thread (and unthread) straps when transferring Snuzzler between seats.

The Snuzzler Is Different
Other support products do not actually support a baby’s head. Parents cringe at the sight of their sleeping baby’s head cocked practically at right angles to her body—the Snuzzler prevents the head flop, and keeps baby’s entire torso in the proper posture.

How It Works
Switching the Snuzzler between baby seats (car seat, stroller, bouncy seat, etc.) couldn’t be easier or more intuitive. Open-ended strap openings allow caregivers to drop the Snuzzler right into the seat, pull the harness straps through the openings, make sure the head support is set at the right height (adjust height with Velcro tabs), and there you have it. Ready for baby!

Crash Tested for Safety
If you’ve done your parenting homework, you know that adding fluffy, squishy things to your baby’s car seat can compromise her safety, as the harness straps may not fit as snugly as necessary with all the cushioning around baby. Have no fear, Kiddopotamus knows all about baby safety. Snuzzler has no padding behind baby for the safest harness fit. It has undergone rigorous crash tests by accredited United States agencies to ensure that it conforms to federal standards.

Snuzzler Grows with Baby
The clever head support element of the Snuzzler is detachable and adjustable (with Velcro tabs); as baby grows, the head support moves right along with her, unlike all-one-piece supports. The head support can also be used on its own.

Award-Winning Support
Among its accolades and parent kudos, the Snuzzler is also the recipient of several awards, including the 2005 Pregnancy Magazine Buyer’s Guide Award, the 2003 iParenting Media Award, and the 2003 iParenting "Hot Product" Award.

Machine Washable
What’s the point of baby gear if you can’t throw it in the laundry basket? Of course the Snuzzler is machine washable (cold water, gentle cycle. Line dry).--Emilie Coulter

5.0 out of 5 stars No more slumping babe, October 31, 2004
By
mommacass "mommacass" (Palmyra, VA United States) - See all my reviews
The snuzzler does an excellent job keeping baby from slumping in seats and swings. It can be used with just about any kind of buckle/harness including 5 point, 3 point, and typical swing belts.

Despite information posted by other reviewers, I would like to note that this item is safe for use in car seats. It is designed so that the padding is to the side of the baby and NOT behind the baby. This is stated on the packaging: "Safe for use in all car seats, Snuzzler is specially designed with padding only on the sides of baby's head and body, not in back of baby, for proper harness fit." This meets the requirements of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which states "Never place any extra cushioning under or behind your baby. This also prevents harness straps from being snug." The NHTSA also recommends using towels to support baby's head and neck, but the Snuzzler stays in place better because of its design and, therefore, in my opinion, would be safer... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfort for newborns+! A must have. It IS safe., February 15, 2004
By
SimplyKim (Marysville, WA) - See all my reviews
If you look closely at the picture, the back of the Snuzzler - the part that goes behind baby's back & head is very thin. The sides are really what support the baby, much like rolling up blankets and placing beside baby in the car seat. There are openings for the straps of the safety harness so they are not hindered in any way.

I recommend this product 100%! It is awesome and has made things so much more comfy for our baby. He's 3 months now so we use the Snuzzler in his swing but we used it the first two months in his car seat. The support it provided stabilized his little body in a car seat that seemed to swallow him up.

I love that it is reversible so you can use the warm fleece side during the winter & the cotton side during the warmer seasons.

Trust me you'll love it! I'm so glad someone recommended it to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the running stroller, February 28, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Kiddopotamus Snuzzler Complete Head and Body Support, Ivory Terry (Baby Product)
I was able to take my little one out in the running stroller at 7 weeks using the Snuzzler. I stuck to smooth bike paths until she was about 4 months, but her little head didn't budge when she was laying on this thing. In fact, I think she slept better in the running stroller w/ the Snuzzler than at home! The two sides are convenient b/c you can just flip it over depending on the kind of weather you're having: fleece side to keep her warm and the other to keep her cool when it's already warm out. By 4 months, she didn't need it in the car seat or swing anymore, but it still seems comfy for her in the running stroller even now at 5 months.

2.0 out of 5 stars Super cute, but not for babies WITH teeth., October 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush, Infant (Baby Product)
I would recommend trying a different product instead. My 9-month-old daughter has 7 teeth and is a strong biter/chewer. We both thought this banana was the cutest toothbrush ever. We "brushed" with it for 2 days and I let her play with and chew it for a bit after each brush, supervised. On day 3 I washed the toothbrush and noticed that about 5 of the rubber bristles were partially or fully chewed off and missing. Sure enough, the bristles have since turned up in her diaper. Althought I considered sending the item back for refund, we will keep it for teeth brushing only. She is no longer allowed to use it as a teether, even with me watching since I didn't notice the bristles breaking off before. Please beware of this before deciding to purchase...I would not have bought it had I known.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and useful, July 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush, Infant (Baby Product)
We loved this teether for about three days, until we lost it. :( My son really enjoyed it, as he doesn't care for round-shaped teethers but prefers ones he can jam into his mouth. The brush seemed soothing on his little gums and the peel handles were easy for him to grasp. My only complaint is that like all silicone stuff, it picks up lint like mad, so you can't put it down, say, on the couch, but the bag it comes in is handy as a storage bag. We held onto it just long enough for his bottom teeth to pop through, then lost it in a restaurant. Boo hoo.

2.0 out of 5 stars regular teether, November 2, 2010
This review is from: Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush, Infant (Baby Product)
It is silicone teether that is shaped as a toothbrush. My baby 1 year old and had it for few months. She is chewing on handles, toothbrush part and the other side. It is not her favorite teether, but she uses it occasionally. I gave it 3 stars because the product is misrepresented. It does not develop good hygiene, and it is not training toothbrush. Infants will not learn to manipulate it in their mouth, they will chew on it. Nor does it massage gums any better than anything else babies put in their mouth. It is regular teether, just overpriced. Whoever buys it still needs to wipe their baby teeth after meals and brush it before bedtime with finger toothbrush. The teether does nothing to clean baby teeth or to train the baby in tooth brushing.

Update: When baby began using teether heavily, she started biting off tether bristles one by one. After she bit off half of them, I cut the rest, and baby stopped using the teether shortly after that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Convenient, but with some limitations, February 14, 2008
By
Cheryl (Bronx, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Medela Pump & Save Breastmilk Bags - 50 pack (Baby Product)
I like these bags because it is really convenient to be able to pump straigt into the bag (no bottle washing!)

A couple of annoying things:
1) My baby drinks a lot so at each pumping session, I usually pump about 6 ounces. i have to use two bags to hold my milk because the medela ones hold max 5 ounces. lansinoh makes larger ones, so i can use just one - no problem.
2) You have to be reaaallly careful that the bags are zipped closed tightly. On a couple of occasions, i have spilled milked because i thought the bags were zipped and they werent. This is especially true when the bag is filled to the max 5 oz, it doesnt always zip as easily. lansinoh's bags have a double zipper which ensures no spillage!

so basically i like lansinoh bags better except for the fact that you can pump straight into the medela bags (im actually thinking of just taping the lansinoh bags to my pump and seeing what happens...)

1.0 out of 5 stars A great idea, but badly done., January 23, 2009

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Medela Pump & Save Breastmilk Bags - 50 pack (Baby Product)
Let me start by saying that, after three kids, I'm a longtime and repeat Medela customer, and I generally sing their praises to the skies. But this is the worst product I think I've ever bought, and I won't be buying them again.

I use a Medela Freestyle pump, and the first thing I noted was that these bags don't fit the Freestyle all that well. The shorter neck of the Freestyle pump attachment sits higher than the zip seal of the bag, so you will wind up with some residual milk above the zip seal when you get done. OK, so not the end of the world, but you'd think Medela would have noticed that. Perhaps that's why various reviews I'd read said they weren't a terrific match for the Freestyle. For the record, the tape strap that holds the bag on does indeed fit just fine, so if you don't mind cleaning up your bag seal post-pumping, then it won't bother you too much.

The deal-breaker for me is the horrible ziplock-style seal itself. In short, don't count on it... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but not the best system, November 6, 2006
This review is from: Medela Pump & Save Breastmilk Bags - 50 pack (Baby Product)
I pump a lot, and I've used all kinds of bags.

I like the fact that you can pump directly into these bag, but the system is not very robust. The tape does hold the bottle in place, but you have to be extra careful because the bag is practically open and you there's always the risk of pouring precious milk out of the bag if you move it too quickly.

Another thing I don't like about these bags is that you can't very easily write on the bag (date, milk amount, etc).

I prefer the old style "tie" bags, but if you are looking for the best bag try the Lansinoh bags, they are much better that Medela's, but you can't pump directly into them!
